U.S. House Speaker: U.S. Citizen "More Not Safe" Exchange of Prisoners post
John Boehner on Tuesday (10/6) said the Obama administration has made Americans "less secure" after the release of five Taliban prisoners.
U.S. House Speaker John Boehner said the Obama administration has made Americans "less secure" by freeing five Taliban prisoners in exchange for the release of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl Army.
 
Speaking Tuesday at a news conference with other leaders of the House Republicans, Boehner warned the U.S. would "bear the consequences" that a prisoner exchange. He said no doubt there will be "killed" the relevant exchange.
 
Boehner said the Republican House members happy Bergdahl back after nearly five years in the custody of the Taliban in Afghanistan. But he repeated concerns House members that they were not informed about the deal before the exchange.
 
Obama administration officials defended their decision by saying Bergdahl's life is in danger and there is no time to wait.
