Summit in London condemns Abduction by Boko HaramNigeria and neighboring African countries calls 200 over schoolgirls kidnapped by militants Boko Haram is "vile example of the disaster of sexual violence."Officials from Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria joined the sidelines of a global summit in London on Thursday (12/6) to end sexual violence in war.
 
The host of the conference organizers, actress Angelina Jolie, said the notion that rape is inevitable in war is a myth. He calls it a "weapon" that is used to torture and humiliate.
 
British Foreign Secretary William Hague, who is also the host of the summit, said the participants aimed at "eradicating the culture of impunity" in the sexual assault. He added that some of the guilty have been punished.
 
William Hague committed Britain to give more assistance in finding a Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped. He said Britain wanted to ensure Boko Haram failed in "evil mission" to prohibit school girls.
